If you have been asked for a homologación de título or certificates of equivalence this page should help to ensure that you get the right documents for your process.

Original or Copy

We cannot tell you your specific requirements - This would be a matter for your processing agent. The commonest requests we have are:-

1. On the document - Verified true copy of a certificate (sometimes also a transcript) separately notarised and apostilled - notarisation certificate placed directly on the copy document.
2. Cover sheet - Verified true copy of a certificate (sometimes also a transcript) separately notarised and apostilled - Notarisation certificate contained within a covering certificate.
3. Bundled - Verified true copy of a certificate and transcript bundled under one cover sheet bearing the notarial certificate and requiring one apostille.
4. Original - Verified original document - usually with the notarisation certificate contained within a covering certificate.
5. Original bundled - More than one original verified documents under one covering notarial certificate.

You should be aware that if your original certificate is to be notarised then your certificate will have a hole punched into a top corner and an embossed part stamp placed in another corner. Please bear this in mind if you think you will want to put your certificate on display in the future.

Certify that this is a true copy of an original document that I have inspected and verified

2. Cover Sheet:-

CERTIFY that the document annexed hereto is a true and exact copies of an original education certificate that I have personally inspected and which may be described as the Degree certificate awarded issued by University of Town to John Doe awarding the degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

I have personally verified the authenticity of this document  with the issuing authority and am satisfied that it is genuine.

3. Bundled:-

CERTIFY that the documents annexed hereto are true and exact copies of an original education certificate and transcript that I have personally inspected and which may be described as:-

1.    Degree certificate awarded issued by University of Town to John Doe awarding the degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

2.    Transcript pertaining to the aforementioned award.

I have personally verified the authenticity of these documents  with the issuing authority and am satisfied that they are genuine.

4. Original:-

CERTIFY that the document annexed hereto is  an original education certificate that I have personally inspected and which may be described as the Degree certificate awarded issued by University of Town to John Doe, awarding the degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

5. Original Bundled:-

How to proceed

Before sending any money or documents please get in touch to ensure we are able to assist and for confirmation of the pricing.

Verification

The first step of the process is verification. The simplest way to verify is for you to identify the correct officer at the university and email them, copying us in, asking them if they would "reply to all" and confirm the documents are genuine.

The alternative is to provide us with the correct person's details along with a completed education form of authority and we will contact them. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that we are directed to the correct person because it we are redirected and have to communicate with multiple departments then there would be additional charges. The verifier needs to be aware that a transcript is being verified (so services like HEDD and Qualification Check, who verify certificates, would not be able to assist).

We can start the verification process whilst waiting for the original documents to arrive.

You will also need to email us the following:-

Scanned ID (showing photo, signature and address)

1. Scan of the document(s) for notarisation
2. Scanned ID (photo and address - UK photocard driving license is perfect but if you do not have one then a combination of a passport and some address ID is acceptable)
3. (Optional) If we are contacting the university then a completed education form of authority.
4. Completed Instructions form.
5. Payment - Account Name – MY NOTARY PUBLIC LTD; Sort – 60-83-71; Account – 69812507. 

We will provide you with the correct and complete address to send the original documents to.

Please check with the person verifying the documents that they are the correct contact. If they are not and we are redirected then the redirection would be charged as an additional verification process.

Pricing

Pricing depends on the document - These are typical notarisation fees for a set of documents comprising of one single page certificate and one four page transcript pertaining to the same award.

It assumes that you have provided the correct verifier details and the university does not impose verification charges:-

Points to consider with original documents

What if I don't have the original?

We can still certify your award as having been verified but would not be able to state that it is a true copy of an original document. Whilst common sense would dictate that your recipient should be more concerned with your award being genuine than with the physical certificate please do not assume that your recipient will accept a certificate that does not state the original has been inspected!
